Our Mission

Revoteen is a student networking platform geared towards driving change in our communities by empowering students to get involved. Our mission is simple: to create a foundational platform that meets the next generation's collaborative and entrepreneurial needs. Through meaningful projects, Revoteen makes it easier for students to network with other like-minded students, build new or pre-existing projects, and inevitably create positive change.

Revoteen facilitates the transformation and amalgamation of student ideas into projects and global change. Developed solely by our student team, Revoteen connects 10,000+ students across 70+ countries to 400+ opportunities, including internships and summer programs.

Platform Features

Revoteen offers a comprehensive suite of features designed to connect students globally. The platform enables users to discover job openings and new organizations through an intuitive explore page, helping students learn new skills, find their passions, and build their resumes while getting involved with their communities.

Students gain access to hundreds of opportunities and internships at globally renowned companies, including Uber, NASA, and Audible. The platform also allows users to build digital portfolios by posting opportunities, recording achievements, test scores, and education status.

Technical Architecture

Revoteen was built using a modern, scalable technology stack designed to handle a global user base. The mobile application was developed using Flutter, enabling cross-platform deployment on both iOS and Android with a single codebase, ensuring consistent user experience across all devices.

The web platform was built using Next.js, providing server-side rendering and optimal performance. The backend infrastructure leverages Cloud Firestore for real-time data management, AWS Lambda for serverless computing, Redis for caching, and Cloud Functions for automated processes. The platform is deployed on Vercel for fast global distribution.

Global Impact and Growth

Since its launch, Revoteen has grown to become a significant force in student networking, successfully raising $20,000 in funding to support platform development and expansion. The platform has connected over 10,000 students across 70+ countries, facilitating access to more than 400 opportunities including internships at prestigious companies and meaningful community initiatives.

Revoteen has gained significant media attention and recognition, being featured in major publications including the Merced County Times and Brainz Magazine. These features highlight our mission to revolutionize student networking and our success in creating a platform that addresses real challenges faced by students worldwide.

The project has significantly advanced my expertise in full stack engineering, mobile development, and startup operations. Revoteen demonstrates the power of student-driven innovation and the potential for technology to create meaningful connections that drive positive change in communities worldwide.
